Most frequently asked questions

Q. Are any riders available with the plan?

A. Yes, a critical illness add-on is available with the plan which pays 100% of the Sum Assured if the insured is diagnosed with a critical illness during the tenure of the plan.

Q. Can the waiting periods be reduced?

A. No, the waiting periods cannot be reduced except for maternity coverage, where waiting period of 4 years can be reduced to 2 years by paying an additional premium.

Q. What are the rules on co-payment?

A. Co-payment is mandatory for individuals who are 65 years of age and above. Co-payment necessitates the insured to bear a part of the claim himself. Policyholders can also opt for voluntary co-payment of 10% or 20% of the claim. This voluntary choice would reduce the resultant premium of the plan.

Q. What is the No Claim cumulative bonus booster?

A. By paying an additional premium, this booster can be added by the policyholder. By this booster, rather than the applicable 10% increment in the Sum Assured as No Claim Bonus, a 25% increment would be added subject to a maximum of 100% of the Sum Assured.

Q. What is the Healthy Reward program under the plan?

A. Through this program, the policyholder can earn reward points on premiums paid. These points are calculated @1% of the premium paid and are added when the insured maintains a healthy lifestyle. Such healthy lifestyle can be maintained and monitored by the insured’s participation in the company’s online wellness programs. A maximum of 10% of the premium paid can be accumulated as reward points which can be then redeemed on subsequent premium payments.
